Memorial Hospital: A Community Partner
Knowledge is Power! I have heard this quote before and working in the Education department, I have to believe it is true. The more that we can teach our employees and the community the more prepared we will be to handle a variety of situations.
Every month we offer a wide range of classes or in-services to our employees and the community. Some of these classes include CPR for Health Care Providers or a Heartsaver Class that teaches the steps of CPR to members of the general public.
We offer Advanced Cardiac Life Support Classes, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Classes and Crisis Prevention Intervention Classes to help individuals handle escalating or violent situations. We offer ECG Classes to teach individuals how to read telemetry strips, Childbirth Education Classes for new parents and Breastfeeding Classes.
Please check out the rest of our website to see our other upcoming classes. We also offer a Speaker's Bureau in which we have employees who are willing to come to your community meetings or events and speak on a wide variety of topics. Memorial Hospital would love to share our knowledge with you!
About the Author:
After graduating from Fremont Ross High School, Marianna Snavely received a nursing degree from The Ohio State University. She did this in order to fulfill two personal goals: helping people and making a difference in the ever changing and challenging world of health care. Marianna’s first job out of college was at Memorial Hospital, where she learned the ins and outs of being a new graduate working the night shift as a nurse. Since then, she has earned her MBA from Tiffin University and returned to Memorial as the Director of Health Care Education. Marianna is truly excited and grateful to be part of the MHCS team, even as she cheers on her beloved Buckeyes and chases her two young boys.
